Our goal is too often a case of 'surviving the current crisis'.We set goals but almost immediately fall behind their timelines and end up in survival mode, fighting fires, reworking things, and patching up.We achieve most of our goals, though sometimes slower than planned, sometimes at lower margins, but overall we we're making good progress.We have 'big picture' long- term goals. Too many just want 'a high- paying easy job' and won't take responsibility and work hard.We've got some good people and some not-so-good, but it's hard to find replacements in our market and so we make do.We have a better-than- average team who perform well but while I know we could better, I don't know how we get there.I feel we're finally at a point where we have the right people on board, and that they have taken ownership and are driving the bus. They are holding me back!I have some good and some poorer performers on my team, but they are better than average and work well enough, but it takes constant supervision.My team runs the business, sometimes better than I do. And that single sentence should be couched in customer-centric language (what's good for them, not what's good for you). Get this bit right and you'll find that you have a compelling reason for, 'Why you should buy from me', and a foundation for simple, powerful, on-topic marketing.Q3 or Topic 3 Biggest Gap FeedbackMission (WHAT value do we create?)If your products and/or service are 'the world's best' you can command a 300% pricing premium and stand above most - if not all - of your competitors. If you are 'among the best' (second tier) you might command a 100% premium. But, if you are among the also-rans, it's dog- eat-dog in discount land and a race to the bottom.
