How well do you provide vision and clarity for your team?I struggle to define and clarify the vision and mission for my team, since I myself am not clear about it.I provide a set of outputs and help my team understand them, however, we don't have measures in place to determine success.I help craft a shared vision and strategy leading to outcomes with measurable results. My team is keenly aware, engaged and inspired by our purpose and vision. We routinely rely upon feedback loops to help refine execution of the vision. How would you rate yourself today, on a scale of 1-12?Where would you like to be in 12 months time, on a scale of 1-12? Leading ExecutionA measure of leadership has always been about how well you execute. How well do you lead your team to execute on their mission?I have too many competing priorities and struggle to help my team focus on what's most important. We've started to rally around a shared set of objectives/outcomes, however we still lack a set of measures to tell us how we're doing.I provide clarity on the most important priorities and limit the work in progress for my team so they can focus and deliver.I support highly capable, cross-functional teams who have local decision making authority, and who are aware of and continually update their results against a set of Business Outcomes with measures of success. How would you rate yourself today, on a scale of 1-12?Where would you like to be in 12 months time, on a scale of 1-12? Value DeliveryUltimately, the value you deliver to your customers will define how you're measured as a Leader. How well do you and your team understand and deliver value? We don't have a consistent definition of what value means to us. Most of the time, we're told what to do, and my role is to get my team to build itI've started to create the structures that allow for collaboration between my teams and their business counterparts but I'm still frustrated by delays in communication and collaboration. My teams are focused on the end customer, work closely with their business partners and rely on feedback loops and collaboration patterns to deliver valuable products.Teams are completely aligned to Business Outcomes and routinely deliver the right things at the right time. How would you rate yourself today, on a scale of 1-12?Where would you like to be in 12 months time, on a scale of 1-12? Leadership MindsetChanging your leadership mindset from command and control to a servant leadership mindset is critical to becoming an Agile Leader. How well have you embraced this mindset? As leaders, we operate at a tactical level, assigning work, solving problems and use a directive style of management to make most decisions.I've started to invest in self-discovery and self-awareness, trying to determine my leadership style, however I'm still frustrated by the general culture and expectation of other leaders around me.Most of my days are spent supporting, developing and growing empowered and self-directed teams. There is still work I need to do to embrace and use a coaching stance with my team. I have embraced and fully practice a leader-leader mindset, where everyone on my team is considered a leader and my role is focused on helping them achieve their fullest potential. How would you rate yourself today, on a scale of 1-12?Where would you like to be in 12 months time, on a scale of 1-12? Continuous Learning An experimentation mindset is critical to continuous improvement. How much time and effort do you invest in continuous learning and improvement? We don't invest any time in experimentation of new ideas. We have started to record our learnings from past projects and are attempting to put this to good use.Our teams regularly retrospect and inspect and adapt how they work to improve their understanding of the customer, and to generate new ideas and experiments to try. We have mastered the art of experimentation, measuring results and pivoting when needed. This has enabled innovation and increased customer value. How would you rate yourself today, on a scale of 1-12?Where would you like to be in 12 months time, on a scale of 1-12?
